Question is whether it will spur more disk drive demand. I don't see anything , 32 bit or otherwise, data rich enough to give us another spur. One exception is games. I guess when everything craters and we are all unemployed more games could get sold. Nothing else to do. :)

Yes, I agree that upgrading simply for a bit more stability out of the platform may make the upgrade cycle a good one for MSFT... I certainly have a LOT of unexplained hang ups that require reboots and will upgrade all of my platforms in hope of avoiding these problems.
Of course I won't be on the "bleeding" edge... I can't afford to be.
