Ahhhhh . . . so peeing is really very complicated!!! It sounds like there are lots of instances where sitting down makes more sense. I did not think of late at night when you don't really want to turn the light on, or bother to aim carefully, so thanks for bringing up those practical considerations.

You are a poet!! And you can write nice, thoughtful, refined poetry about peeing!! I am SO glad you followed Janice over here, Scrapps!!

At the behest of our congenital host, I have decided to make public my posture preference when having to perform a #1.

I was a religious stander-upper until several years ago when I got a urinary tract infection that made it somewhat painful to tinkle and made my stream more of a spray. So then, I had to be a sitter-downer out of necessity. The infection was cured with medication and now I am a combination stander upper/sitter downer. The first relief in the morning is always sitting down. If there is a urinal, I stand up. If only toilets, then I'll probably sit down, unless other guys are present, in which case I'll stand, unless I have other business to take care of or I'm particularly gassy, in which case I'll sit down unless I'm in a frat house and I have no other business to take care of. I also find that the graffiti is better in the stalls than in front of the urinals!
