Curtis, you shouldn't comment unless you read his stuff. btw, i believe he had a significant hand in moving bill away from cable and redirecting msft strategy. He is quite influential and knowledgeable.

Frank-- The Gilder thread-- Thank you for pointing me at the Forbes ASAP-Gilder thread. A lot of disjointed stuff there, including Gilders. If you would like to read more on WDM and DWDM, I suggest folks take a look at the February issue of IEEE Communications Magazine. You can see the titles and abstracts at-- 207.127.135.8 You can read on-line if you are a member, or at your local library. Ciena WDM gear is currently deployed in SPRINTs network and a lot of players enter now. CLECS and ILECS are swapping fiber and brokering bandwidth all over the place--including LVLT. Its crazy out there !!
