Don, I basically agree with your thoughts; but I would like to add one thing: The time to buy a great company like MO is when hardly anyone wants to buy it. The Uncertainty here is really depressing the share price. At this point, I have quite a stake in MO with an average price at $39.50. I will continue to buy more and more on any weakness.

I, also, wish to respectively, remind everyone that...

different newspapers and media "news vendors" are not
as accurate nor are they precise in the reporting of
events and the implied interpretations of quotes, and
other resources in which, the news vendors utilize.

In other words, when one hears that "....Tobacco Companies
smashed by ...such and such...", consider the source,

Is this report from Reuters, The Washington Post,
L.A. Times, or the Finacial Times of London. Is this
a newscast from ABC, or Turner's CNN.

The MSNBC morning business show, has a long history
of talk talk talk always instant analysis. Hmmmm??

Beware of instant analysis....

Consider , last week, I personally, did not
see or hear any mention of The Iowa nor the Pennsylvania
cases...ruling in favor of Tobacco. on the business shows.

But , upon reflection, these are vital to the long range
strategy, of of losing battles, but winning the war
in the courts.

And...let no one be mistaken, this is WAR.

Eonomic war on a grand scale. Not trivial
issues here.

...well...you get the point...

...much effort in discrimating news from the noise !!!...
