I hold a very small long position in CCSI and I don't follow this stock nearly as much as those who post on this thread appear to do.
After following this thread for a half year or so I've notice that almost all of the people who are "long" in this stock are of the mindset that CCSI is incapable of anything less than total success and all those who are "short" are unconvinced by the all of the "longs" rational. However, the "shorts" never present any seemingly logical justification for their positions, so the casual reader of these posts would probably come to the conclusion that the long position would be a more intelligent choice than the short.
However, the short position in this stock has increased dramatically in the past 3 months. McFarlane along with her ex-husband have sold many times more shares of stock than what I hold. And now the "Deal" announcement that has never come should happen this week, but don't shoot the person who told you that if it doesn't happen.
Well I certainly hope the deal happens this week, I could use money to be made if the Skipard scenario of the short squeeze happens.
But I have a bad feeling. It's the accounting firm thing. I have never ever heard of a company announcing the dismissal of an accounting firm without announcing in the same statement the retention of a new accounting firm. This is most unusual and it disturbs me. Especially making this announcement on the heels of hiring H&K PR.
If anyone knows of an instance of where a company has announced the dismissal of an accounting firm before announcing the retention of a new firm, please share it with me.
