1. straight from world vision
2. chicago tribune article after world com merger
3.a.rates are always changing, arent we bombarded with commercials talking aobut different call plans daily. b.read sandstuffs post, also have a friend/college buddy who does overseas consulting, owns his own business, also am a consultant myself, have contacts who do overseas business. quality is excellent. c.what past performance did the rocket people have to go on with their first trip to the moon, dd, research, and im sure countries with difficult business entry such as indonesia did not just give jimmy the keys to the executive restroom without demonstration or verification of superior/top quality technology. d. on sunday night at 9:00 no tech support does not suprise me, if it was at 9:00 am on monday morning i would be surprised.

4. i didnt say callback lines instead of, but in addition too while lease lines are being established and archaic technology is upgraded. the article did not go into detail as to the use of voxport. i didnt say that they absolutely would use it since. i was not familiar with it, the concept of it and the significant usage flexibility is intriguing, i would assume they would take advantage of such technology since it is already being used in regions where they have contracts and/or access.

5. will i tell you my source for down under, no.

6. no but my technohead buddy probably could. the way he explained it to me was difficult to understand even in laymans terms, i wont even attempt to relay the info(no pun intended) im sure others on this thread could though.

7. the facts speak for themselves, they have contact and or connections in 80 countries, also the links that byron provided on them are available in his posts, very impressive.

i did not make a lot of statements that i dont back up with facts, i quoted direct excerpts from an article, then specifically noted before hand what my take was which insinuates speculation in some cases and fact in others, of which i just try to clarify some. i have also left numerous factually based and supported posts on the other thread if you care to read them. maybe even try talking to byron and/or rocketman about info i have given over last several days, a fresh perspective may prove to be most valuable to you.

one last note, i have many sources of info, if i posted all things that i hear or know as fact, or speculate on what i hear, i would be crucified. time will show true mettle in this case. i try to get out factual info as i can, i cannot possibly cover all angles and directions. but i certainly will address those put forth to me, you will find that i am very dilligent with info and resolve.

Judith, Macker on the subject of International Callbacks. A few items that were brought up by both may have caused a bit of confusion.

When discussing International Callbacks, or Call Re-origination, it is an important distinction, when discussing an Internet Telephony company, whether the Callbacks will be done via the gateway or whether through the Traditional telco. The reason this is important for DGIV in Russia, is because if they will do it via IT, then they will indeed need the Leased Lines, like they would to offer IP calls, and Callbacks will be an added feature. The waiting period for the IT minutes and the Callback minutes, would be one and the same. However if they have an agrrement to offer 'Straight' Callbacks, then they could immediately begin offering the service. It should be determined whether the existing agreement(s) cover this.

As for Indonesia, this is a moot point, due to the following passage from the January 2nd news release.
digitcom.com
<<(DLD Corporation's call re-origination technology will not be marketed in Indonesia under the agreement in keeping with DLD's policy of close co-operation and compliance with national telecommunications regulatory agencies in countries where it has operations.)>>

Also, macker you are correct that these calls do not have to be to the US, they can go from any country to any country, as long as the Regulations and technology allow, but there is a drawback. The reason why Call Re-Origination is highly successful is because of the extreme difference of Originating a Call from the US to anywhere in the world, instead of Originating it elsewhere and calling the elsewhere. There is not that great a difference between most countries, due to the Lack of competition. If DGIV is not using the US as its Call Re-Origination country, then the margins are slim versus fat.

I would make an educated guess that DGIV will use the US, for that very reason.
