Pillmore has been elected to the position of Senior Vice President - Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Pillmore has been with General Instrument for two years, occupying several key financial roles, most recently as Vice President - Finance/Information Technology (IT) and Acting Chief Financial Officer responsible for overseeing worldwide financial and information technology operations for GI. Pillmore previously served as Vice President - Finance/IT for the Company's Broadband Networks Group. Prior to joining GI, Eric spent 17 years in a variety of senior finance roles with General Electric. He served as manager of finance for GE Plastics, Americas in Pittsfield, Massachusetts from 1994 to 1996 and as manager of finance for GE Medical Systems, Asia in Tokyo, Japan from 1991 to 1994. In addition, he served on GE's Corporate Audit Staff, as well as positions in the appliances and aircraft engine businesses. Eric also served as a supply officer in the US Navy from 1975 to 1979 and is a graduate of the University of New Mexico with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
