Bucky89,

An ASND/BAY merger would signal a definite SELL for me. I'm sorry in spite of what some people think BAY still hasn't gotten their act together. ASND could find a much better dance partner than BAY.

First, I will respond to your earlier post..just haven't the time right now.

Re: ATM being squeezed out..no, I don't believe I said this. I think what I said was that ASND will have a narrow product line among competitors that are far more broadly positioned. ASND, selling only ATM/FR backbone equipment versus LU, NT, NN, and CSCO selling a broad array of networking equipment in a converging world will make ASND's life a bit more difficult. To protect against this I think (JMO) that ASND would do well to fill out their product line a bit more. I agree with your assessment of BAY, but they are dealing from weakness and therefore must compete on price leading to margin preasure.
