I wish you guys could find another figure of speech. My right shoulder tends towards spontaneous dislocation. The last emergency room bill was higher than my last expired put on the S&P.

For a bear, it's not bad today, but it is probably not going to be enough to prompt any mutual fund redemptions or transfers. If new money simply levels off, however, and six-month CDs go back up to 6%, we could see a gradual erosion set in that would eventually set off the big decline.

Depending on how we count it, this thing has been going on for sixteen years or more. This bull market is more stable than a lot of governments have been. It's lasted about as long as the Third Reich did. A lot of people have developed a fanatical attachment to it.
