ZJOHN, SWEBF is a Canadian company that initially did well via "HOT" products namely HotMetal (and some other "Hot" stuff, I don't recall exactly--don't have my notes beside me). HotMetal was their first hit internet product. It allowed anyone to publish websites and you didn't need to have an advanced degree or even know what "html" meant. I owned the stock for the better part of last summer. I got in at a little over $1, like $1.12 or something and got out at about $1.60 or so, (after missing out on a spike of $2.50 or so, *@!!). After getting out, I just watched it, and watched it, and watched DROP. Softquad is apparently a fair company, with a great product. Unfortunately, they don't have diversification in their product line, they don't have enough shelf space in retailers and they don't focus much on their stock. I would recommend you put your money else where, unless of course you feel it's at the bottom. The only problem is, it can stay there a while. Just my opinion. But maybe the recent JV will boost the company. There's always potential, especially if you catch it on the cusp of an upswing (dangerous game). Also, see what they've got in the works and how they intend to get the stock back up to its all time highs above $5. Also, check how it's doing in Canada. I think it's on the TSE. Some Market Maker bozo has been shorting it, as it was $3 a couple of weeks ago. He is short without the certificates. We believe he is out and that this stock is poised to go up back to the $3 area. A similar recommendation from us two weeks ago brought another company up from $1 to $2.50 in a day. It was possibly shorted by the same market maker. The Company has purchased advertisements in Barrons and Investors Business Daily and are expected out this next week...
