Jonathan,
Thank you for your update, your comments are appreciated. As a Web St. Level II subscriber and a MAC user I must point out that Web St. recommends we use Navigator Ver. 3.04 Gold. Please note that java on 3.04 is significantly slower (about 33% as it has no JIT compiler) than with Nav Ver 4.0+. Ergo, I have recognized no improvement in real-time/Level II. Actually, it seems to be getting worse as you add subscribers. I would certainly hope that you are addressing the needs of us MAC user's as well, particularly in terms of java/Nav 4.0+. Thanks in advance for your response.

Steve

Jon,

Thank you for taking the time to respond to comments on this thread.
Like Steve, I am also mac/webstreet user and would appreciate any platform specific solutions that might aid us in effectively using WebStreet.

Thanks Steve. I wasn't aware of the limitations of 3.04.

Mike

Dear Jonathan,
Thank you indeed for your attention and response. I believe your words to be sincere, and I feel confident that you are working hard to provide the best service. Certainly you must be challenged by your rapid growth and its demands. I for one will give you a break while you catch your breath, and hope, along with the others here, for the speed and improvements to take place as you mentioned.
I must mention that I am still anxiously awaiting your response to my problem with a trade last week which was repeatedly cancelled by me but not accepted by your system. All details are in my emails to you.

Faithfully,
Carl van Rooyen

Jon,

Thank for taking an interest in answering some of the questions that have been posted here.

I am not quite sure what you mean by following statement:

"You can always call or e-mail our customer service department to find out the details on trading penny stocks online."

However, if there are "details" that we should know couldn't they best be made known by posting here, rather than everyone swamping customer service with phone calls or E-mail. My experience is that when I have asked questions of customer service concerning "trading" I was always referred to a broker. One of whom, by the way, one day told me that Web Street provides penny stock traders with "more" than any other on line broker. I have since learned that is not true, AND, it appears from your post that you are in agreement that Web St is not "penny stocks friendly."

A couple of the issues that have been raised that remain to be addressed are the following;

1. Is there any plan to allow the entry of decimals rather than fractions. It is ironic, that Web Street only allows the entry of fractions, then on some screens, only displays decimals - and then only to two places, i.e, .06 instead of .058. The example I have given is obviously a penny stock, but it applies to all.

2. The 50% variance limitation. This is a REAL problem for all.

3. Does Web Street sell its order flow?

Looking forward to your answers concerning the above.

As I have always said, the best thing Web Street has going for it, is
Sheri Smith and Customer Service, but more is required!

Bill

From Jon's post:

> We will soon launch our single-click trading page, which allows
> you to execute trades directly off your watchlists. This will be
> available in May and is designed primarily for day trading.

I thought it was funny when he described the new soon to arrive site as more suitable for daytrading. I still maintain that daytradng is more suceptible to webstreet's daily price var limitation. It isn't called the DAILY price var for nothing.

So basically the new site will be good, by entering trades directly off our watch list, we can actually get our orders REJECTED MUCH, MUCH FASTER.
