SXB, excellent point. I wonder, though, how directly analogous oil in the early 70s is to TAVA in the late 90s. On the one hand, both are arguably "essential" services/supplies. On the other hand, "everyone" knows the importance of oil: Drive to work? Wait in gas lines? You bet oil sounds like a good investment (1970s speaking). TAVA and other y2k services are more "hidden" and may not be as obviously an "essential." Thinking off the top of my head, and hoping the rash of y2k publicity changes this, but worth considering. My university's student run newspaper even had a "cover page" story on y2k last week. Not exactly "Fortune" :), but hey, every little bit helps. Now if I can only get those business majors to invest their summer internship monies in TAVA...
