Could it be that in this day of wildly inflated stock prices, a jittery market might consider BORL and other under-valued investments as a good place to put money.

Also, if there was an attempt to short this one down in the last few days, a strong resistance could cause some big short covering from Leo's friends. Yes! Tomorrow should be interesting!

(maybe Sam's triangles do work after all - he did call the rallies correctly but not the falls, they may be good for one direction but not as good for the other).

Ghassan,

You are correct. I've always been pretty good at calling bottoms, but piss poor at seeing tops. I'm learning though, and there are some indicators with Borland that show great promise (e.g., the weekly Williams %R chart). I also defer to the fact that both falls were due to negative fundamental announcements, not to TA action.

FWIW, here is another prediction. Borland again bounced off the upper boundary of the symmetrical triagle. If the market is strong to neutral tomorrow morning and if the street doesn't react negatively to a 'pending acquisition' over the next six months, we will see a breakaway gap on the opening tomorrow morning. I base this on the extremely strong close, as well as the 'pending' news that has not fully been released/leaked yet.

If Borland does gap, this will form an Island, which in traditional TA terms is a bullish but not particularly strong indicator. The breakaway gap, OTOH, is a very bullish indicator, so let's hope this happens. We shall see in a few hours.

(BTW, the S&P500 futures have been very strong this morning, but are now coming off highs. Hope this reverses.)

Sam
