Interesting dichotomy I agree. My mom tells me he has been going the last 2 months to cardiac rehab to "get into shape", and actually taking it seriously.

God's ability to bless us exceeds our wildest imaginations, at any age.

I remember a local reporter interviewed a local 100 year old man in my hometown several years back. He asked him how it was that he lived to be a 100. The man said " mister , I never thought I would make it to a 100, I've been sick all my life". Then he added as an afterthought " I think I've felt better the last couple of years than I ever have."

Or remember the classic Reagan joke about the reporter interviewing a 100 year old man, and the man said he lived to be 100 because he never smoked or drank. They then heard a loud noise as if someone had fallen down upstairs. Embarrassingly, the man hangs his head lowly and says, "that must be dad, I think he's drunk again."

A long life is a blessing , but that is not how God judges our lives, by the length of our days. In Christ... gregor
