Elwood:

After reading the Dell post that supposedly generated the channel stuffing statement I can see how a slanted perspective can really generate a total fallacy. I have liked Dell and made some money on it, but for any Dellhead specially Kelly (appears to be a smart guy) to insinuate from the Article that they are stuffing the channel is absolutely stupid. Do you think the COMPAQ board took the "stuffing issue" easily - they were probably ready to clean house and then some - nobody would dare embark on that again - and by the way that was not intentional for what its worth.

By the way has anybody looked at the Compaq Club?

Just to bring those who haven't followed the thread for long up to date. Crammer upgraded CPQ while he was at some conference earlier this year and did so impulsively by running to the phone and ordering his minions to buy cpq. This was all done against the wisdom of the people who really make the sound decisions at the business he fronts for. Several days later with the news of breakeven earnings old Jimbo was caught making one of his stupid flap gums jump to judgment calls and at the same time showing us all he is nothing more than a carnival hawker. He will be trying to get back some of what he lost (face and economic) with this type of stupid comment but his is a personality that loses credibility every time he opens his mouth. He is not even smart enough to figure out CNBC puts him on for his entertainment value and to be laughed at by the viewing public.
Sorry to carry on too long but this guy turns my stomach and I have no use for his whinney cry baby style.
Steve

Yep, Cramer said he buys DELL for himself but would put his mother-in-law in CPQ...

He's pretty much like the weatherman who looks outside and tells people what the weather is. He says what people want to hear at the current time and says he owns whatever is up today and says he sold whatever is out of favor.

If CPQ were to go up 5 tomorrow he would say he owns a ton of it and it is the greatest thing going, IMO.
