The press release on the CSN spin-off indicated a desire on their part to free up the growth value of the convergent billing services, and to allow the spin-off to acquire others in the business.

Looks like consolidation is coming. Could be bullish for the entire group.

<<Why do you like those companies?

Because of the industry dynamics: high recurring incomes (high visibility of revenues) and ^2 growth due to growth of their client business'( wireless, cable etc) and due to growth in acquiring new clients (cable operators, PCS operators etc) themself. I like the high margins and the predicted (and in my opinion sustainable) EPS growth rate.

<<How do you feel about USCS--the leader in cable?

I don't hold USCS because they lost TCI contract. Simple as that!

<<What distinguishes one company from another--technology?

The market they operate in, ie cable, PCS-wireless....

<<What is your background/level of industry expertise?

Which industry do you mean ? I'm not working for one of the above mentioned companies. i'm just a private investor.

<<What do you think of CSN, with the planned spin-off coming?

Superb opportunity to make money. I increased my position today. If the spin-off get valued at a billing companies PE, then there is definetly money to be made, Read todays WSJ.

So what are your thoughts ?
