What? WCOM sold MFS? What does that mean?
Is this the local phone business they bought including UUNET?

no press releases at WCOM site.
I'm confused.

News story on Yahoo re: EU concerns biz.yahoo.com

From the article:

<<In March, the Commission announced it was concerned that the deal, which was filed for regulatory approval in the EU back in November, could give the parties a dominant position in the provision of high-capacity network, long-distance connections capable of carrying data globally.>>

Not sure if sale of MFS construction division has anything to do with this or not. WCOM has not commented much on the sale. They also made a deal for options to buy Able stock.
