Best Buy in Dallas sold out of compaqs at xmas and are selling every new compaq they get in stock. The 333 & 400 mhz don't last a couple of days and the lesser models go fast also, so I don't see any problem with sales in this part of the country and this stock should go up starting in May as spring and summer are always good to tech stocks until the end of August. Consumer products (which these are) have been backordered EVERYWHERE since December, demand was up 100% y/y. This is not where the inventory problem was, they have been selling these as fast as they can turn them out for the last 5 months. Eddie, I saw one of those order kiosk things too, pretty neat, but the real trick would be to go thru the screens and then your system pops out on the loading dock, ready to go. best of both worlds. only in my dreams, I guess...
