Here in sunny Southern California the residential real estate bubble is growing once again after being in the doldrums for the last 7-8 years. It's really hilarious that these things move the way that they do. Houses go from $325K to $400 or more in a year's time.

Whatever happened to real estate rising by 1-3% a year, like when my parents were starting out in the late 50's?

God, most of you would really get a kick out of the fact that my house, which I bought in 1988 for $157K was worth $235K after only 18 months! And then only $130K about a year ago and is now climbing back up again!

I got your volatility!
