All the new stuff is targeted for NT Francis.

I'm not saying mainframes will die. This is not a zero sum game.

Francis,
I work in the Process Control industry. All of the DCS (distributed control systems) vendors are piling on to Intel/NT 4.0 systems. We at Aspen Technology are following the lemmings also. Before, we used Digital VMS as the primary platform and HP UNIX as the secondary platform. I can't say enough on the reliability of OpenVMS and it's ease of use. But alas, we must follow the industry. Personally, I think it's a mistake and I despise MSFT for taking the OS market over. I guess the POSIX and UNIX wars have been won by MSFT!
