Off the board for two hours and so many posts backed up I forgot what I was going to say *L*.
I hope Mort isn't one of the *temps* they hire out. Living in Sacramento Ca I wouldn't mind FAMH looking into a temp company in this area. Called the second silicon valley now. Lots of high tech jobs. Maybe a look over by manpower wouldn't be bad. Just late night ramblings. Tomorrow is another day. Golf and then back here to read 100+ new posts. Luck tomorrow to all.

Terry

FAMH - another income source.

FAMH has about 50,000 shares of ATXI bought about $2 a share.

Assume that ATXI gets a big contract to clean up america (vacuum
cleaners) and that the earnings per share increase to 50 cents
a share. Assume that it trades at a multilple of 300, then the
ATXI shares would be worth $150 a share.

FAMH now has 50,000*150 = $75,000,000 worth of assets!!!

Not bad IMO. <g>

If you are correct about this, it is a very powerful competitive advantage. Any way of really verifying that this is correct? Has anyone talked to the State Dept of Insurance or whomever regulates Workman's Comp to determine if offshore insurers are legit and if the particular company used is legit?

Around here I hear much about the high cost of Workman's Comp. I know almost nothing about it but am surprised that there is so much difference in premiums between one insurer and another. I will do an Internet search to see if I can become a bit more knowledgeable on this subject.

Brad,

Do you know if any other temping agency has developed this "offshore
captive" thing that allows them to provide cheap workman's comp. insurance? Is the insurance cheap because it is offshore and not
taxable?

thanks for your help

Buster

The Insurance Commissioner's office will be able to answer the questions regarding the captive rates, etc. without any problem.
