i know i have always had a warped sense of direction, but i have always believed that if the MM's don't want to sell an option, then its usually a good trade. example from today
i placed an offer to buy @9.5 before the open
bid.......ask..this is what the tape would have been if there were executions
10.75___ 11.50 gap up 2 points
9.875___ 10.375
9.5_____ 10
9.5_____ 9.625 they brought the spread down to an 1/8, without filling my order
9.5_____ 9.75
9.625___ 10.125
11.5____ 12.25

Hi Tom,

I saw from your postings that you were also bowled over by PFE. I am a novice at the market for sex pills but if people around me is any indication,

a) PFE will have a huge quarter in sales (first) of viagra.
b) Viagra will be a money maker but not a blockbuster drug (optimistic estimates are at 10 billion in sales in the first year).

Regards,

Suresh

PS: Now for an honest survey... how many of PFE stock/option holders have actually tried to get Viagra ? I can bet that there are lot more shareholders on the thread than users of the drug.

Disclaimer: I was long PFE before but now I have no position in the stock. I reserve my right to participate in the craze to make money by going long PFE and short PFE when reality strikes the masses :)
