RE: The price spike today... Regardless of the reason behind it or whether or not the SEC would/will investigate (much less act), it was a VERY painful lesson about penny stocks to those that bought at/near the high. One needs to think long and hard before they decide to play in this segment of the market where TRUE DD (due diligence) is nearly impossible and MM (market makers) are looking out after THEIR best interest.

When there are wild rides like today, we poor slobs w/o real time quote capacity are at a real disadvantage when we rely on brokers 20 min or so delayed quotes. I have found a partial solution if you use E*trade:

1. Go to "Enter STOCK ORDER"
2. Enter the info into the data fields
3. Click "Preview Order"

You will get a very close estimate of what the results would be if you executed the trade via E*Trade. I'm not sure how much more current the bid/ask is, but it seems more recent info than you get from their 20 min delay.

IMPORTANT CAVEAT!!!!

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT make the mistake of hitting the button at the bottom that actually executes the trade!!! I put my arrow at the top of my screen on my back button to avoid that error ever since I almost bought 1000 shares of Netscape by accident.
