Tulvio...Good post over on the CYMI thread. As an owner of both CYMI and DPMI, I did go back and forth just a bit a while back, and came down in favor of DPMI as the more certain bet.
You apparently have some info that we haven't discussed on this thread, RE: the life of photomasks in light of specific pulse frequencies for the (CYMI) eximer lasers.. can you give us a short course on that, or point us to some info?...Mask usage rates are of quite a bit of interest.
As an aside, it seems to me that the 4X number for masks was the cost move from $4000 per mask to $16,000 per mask for .35u and .25u....and a number like 44,000 for the .18u ((ALL: jump in and correct my numbers if I remembered thhose incorrectly).
I cannot imagine what the cost per mask will be when DUV reaches/exceeds .10u (per the recent U of Texas test results). But DPMI was the supplier of the phase shift mask (for use with a CYMI laser at 193 nm).. for those tests. Nice future for the next decade or so with DPMI, no? TSO
