All I hear is your positive commentary, but Since Monday when earnings were released, we've headed down everyday. This is not a good sign, don't be hoping for a ML coverage, or CSCO good news, or networking conference. The stock is in the doldrums, the techs are weighing heavy, ready to fall. I am not buying this dip at 26 1/2, I'm selling, should have sold at the open at 28. This on a day when the Nasdaq is up 20. For 2 years, I've been buying in the 20 - 25 range and holding for 30s. MRVC has done me well. It is underappreciated, and I would predict that CSCO will outperform MRVC over the next 2 years, even if it seems overvalued. AUGUUGUGUGGHGHHHH!

Good luck to all.

3Com Corp. (COMS) 33 3/4 +13/16: computer networking concern said at the Hambrecht & Quist conference that current sales channel inventory is excellent with operating margins improving to 16%-20% in several quarters; expenses are viewed to be "flat to down" in the coming quarters; also sees one major PC modem announcement in the current quarter.....

Dr.,

The stock was up more than 25% in the last two weeks, from around 23 to a high of 29. What did you expect? A straight line move to the mid-thirties at a time when the overall market is "correcting." There is significant resistance in the high 20's and the stock was extended on a short term basis. Given that, and the general market decline, it's no surprise we have a retracement of the move.

Since the lows in December and January, the stock is now trending up, not down, and I just think a retracement down to support on light volume is completely ordinary. Particularly in this market environment of the last few days. Probably a good buy opportunity. (We all have our opinions.)

I think it highly unlikely we go to 23; I see support at 26 and would be surprised if it goes below.

I am sure many lurkers and regular posters see it this way also, for isn't this just really really fundamental stuff.
