They can drive it down as far as they want, but they take a chance on more buying coming in.

If the MM's see steady buying power, they will realize they better have shares to sell when they lower the ASK. I think some have shares and only a handful are short thinking they could drive the price down.
The key is steady buying power at limit of the ask price.
