"My experience is that hypesters: a.) don't let themselves get known too well by people (i.e., they do the talking/posting, but don't ask for a conversation in the usual give-and-take sense); b.) they don't focus on one board (they float to wherever the new "super hot" stock is); and c.) they type like this: "MDIX IS GOING TO THE MOON!!!!!! 10 BAGGER BY NEXT WEEK!!!! GET ON BOARD NOW!!!!!!" That is a good post. Should be on a reference source for new members to read. I would only add that hypesters rarely answer private messages to them. Too busy posting more @#&*@#.

Chris: Thanks for the civil and useful post. Perhaps I should have private messaged - it didn't occur to me, probably because I, myself, would not have taken my comments as offensive or insulting. I like Mary's posts, too, and Sandra's as well, and they have been generous with time and information. For whatever reason, my mind just got to concocting paranoic theories. I could still be right, or I could be wrong. I didn't think it would hurt to ask, and I made a conscious, although fallible, effort to be civil. I didn't think Mary took any lasting offense, either, at least I hope not. I will say, in general, that the hypester style you describe so well is obvious and, therefore, not very effective. Were I in MIDX's position and of sufficiently weak ethics, I might proceed more or less in the manner of the postings on this thread. It's the plots we don't know about that are dangerous, eh? Anyway, I've never theorized this way before. Also, I am long MDIX - so maybe I'm part of the plot. Regards to all, peter
