< . How many stocks to you know, which, consistently have beat earnings estimates based on formal public reports, drop like a ton of bricks after they are reported > Much of the market is psychology. Look at PSFT after earnings, they beat estimates and sold off 25% from 57 to 43. VNTV beat numbers yesterday and is selling off. Looks like CHKPF is feeling pressure again today. I'd be cautious when they gap it up at the open, I think this has occurred the past couple days, sucking in buyers at higher prices. I don't see GSCO as active today but they may be selling through the ECN's like INCA or BTRD. It may be too that lots of shorts have jumped in given the recent weakness driving it lower. Dave
