You are right, there is not much support for increasing wage inflation which was a primary worry of the Fed. Even the Purchasing Manager's Index was tame. And GDP growth of 4,2% Q1! What a glorious predicament for US businesses. Does this translate into EPS growth for well managed, high growth companies? Sure looks like it from the way the market is viewing the data.
It is amazing that the slightest rumor can propel the market to amazing sell offs and make reasonable people resemble Chicken Little?
In all fairness though, looking at the 6 month $XAU, it is moving up nicely but it may be attributable to Ag not Au. Remember, I think Warren was buying silver?
