Ur rite...it has. Used to be a good MR primer....movin' on to the latest and greatest GMR. I give them a lot of credit for putting up a coherent picture.

By the way, IBM does make suspensions internally, what percentage I've not got a handle on, and there was some degree of coupling between HTCH and IBM during TSA development. The precise nature of it remains obscure to me, but HTCH paid a few million to IBM to clear the path for commercialization. IBM takes some 10-15% of HTCH output and IBM is producing drives with integrated leads. I haven't been able to find out if those are HTCH made or IBM made; my best guess is the latter. APM was supplying something like 50% of its suspension needs internally. That could be much higher since the floor dropped out from under their total output.

HTCH's strongest competition looks to be NHK.
