Stock Bull,

In regards to LS-120 and Imation:

Could it be merely that backwards compatibility with 1.44MB floppy disks is over-rated? LS-120 has been competing head-to-head with Imation/Compaq/3M consortium for quite some time now. If they can't induce consumers to buy, why will Sony?

Maybe you think these companies don't have the technical, manufacturing, and financial resources to make LS-120 succeed?

Regards,

Philip

Whether I think it is a good idea or not, but what is to prevent Sony from offering a Mavica Ultra 200 model digital camera with a HiFi drive built-in instead of the current floppy? One could then take the 200MB disc out and put it directly into a desktop computer that has a HiFi drive. One could also use a regular floppy of course.
