Labor is not BA's problem -- IMO it's management. Plus, the merger with MD is not going smoothly from what I hear -- lots of friction because of differences in management styles. BA is trying to cut back on employee benefits. They announced planned reductions in healthcare benefits. This will not sit well with the unions. But IMO this is another manifestation of management stupidity. It makes little sense to workers when they see top management giving themselves hefty wage increases and when cut healthcare benefits to the workers. I predict major labor problems when the current contract expires.
