No wonder employees get angry if top management get hefty raises while trying to cut employee benefits. If a company is in a mode where money needs to be cut, there should not be some who get raised. Bad vibes, very bad vibes.
Same with our elected people: here in California the top (governor, lt gov etc) just announced a 33%salary increase, when most people are lucky to get 2 or 3% and some are being laid off and have to take much lower paying jobs. Its worse of course than a private company doing that because its our money we are being defrauded with(The reaction was quite negative and maybe they'll amend it, but how did we ever end up with legislators who are allowed to name their own salary?????)
