Check Point's professional service unit, based in Dallas, will
offer technical support and training services for the company's
security, bandwidth management, and network infrastructure
software as well as for integrating partners' software. The
division also includes the Check Point Emergency Response
Force (CERT) and, through other firms, arranges outsourced
security services.

For the first time, Check Point also is offering customer
support directly to end users. Support had previously been
handled exclusively by its resellers.

The unit, with 25 employees today, is projected to reach 80
specialists by year's end. Former Network Associates
executives Tony Reed and John Patrick are running the
operation.

Check Point's new security software, FireWall-1 version 4.0
and SecuRemote 4.0, together can be used to set up VPNs.
The products will be available in the third quarter, with
FireWall-1 version 4.0 priced at $2,995 for under 25 nodes
and at $18,990 for unlimited nodes.

CHKPF's Fundamentals Analysis
According to First Call on 4/25/97,

Mean EPS
98 1.49
99 1.75

Long Term EPS GROWTH RATES: 40%

Closing Price 4/30/98: 29 3/8

98's PE = 29 3/8 / 1.49 = 19.7
99's PE = 29 3/8 / 1.75 = 16.8

YPEG (Year forward PE to nxt 5 yr EPS growth ratio) = 16.8 / 40 = 0.4

CHKPF is trading at less than half its 5 year EPS growth rate. Therefore,
it's considered as severely undervalued.

In a fully value situation, a stock should trade at its future EPS growth rate.

In another word, trading at only $29 3/8 today, the future value will be
$1.75 * 40 = $70 - should it make its $1.75 estimates in 99 -
suggests that there is some excellent price appreciation possible over
the next few months.

Analysts' Consensus Recommendation: Strong Buy (According to First Call)
