JLA,

Has anyone considered why all these people are falling on their swords for Mr. C.? Seems to me there are only four possibilities:

1. They are dedicated loyalists, putting their hero's welfare above their own.
2. They have been paid.
3. They are afraid.
4. Some combination of the above.

Anybody have any thoughts along these lines? Am I missing some reasons?
