Thank you for reminding me of their increase in North American sales. My statement was there more to express my frustration with the lack of details they have provided about their problems and their future efforts, for instance with their North American sales and marketing efforts. Also I do think having most of their revenue come from outside of the U.S. for a U.S. company whose major competition is also here in the U,S. is a bit out-of-balance to me and indicates there is something here thathas not been specifically adressed by the CEO to the shareholder.

As far as the lack of details provided in the conference call, here are some examples. They have a sales staff to ramp up, right? They also have a new VP in marketing? So what will this change? How about their plans to put efforts toward developing their partnering relationships with applicaiton solution providers? What about more details on their sales difficulties in Europe instead of refraining comment other than calling it "leadership" difficulties. Instead I either saw them sidestepping questions on specifics. Furthermore, for example, in going through their "To Do" list they acknowledge they they need to more work with their sales efforts. What does this "more work" specifically mean? I can say to my client that the software I am developing for them needs "work", but I would be remiss not to furnish details.

I do not see Bob F as the operator Phil White was as the past CEO of Informix. However, I am seeing Bob F as a different kind of operator. I see where he is comitted to the future sucess of Informix, unlike Phil White who was interested in the future success of Phil White. I see Bob F as operating to give himself and the company time to deliver on his promises. He is agressively pursuing different ways in accomplishing this aim including his aggressive restatement of the books which has helped him report profits for two quarters in a row. But my concern here is that he is doing this in a way that can cost him and the company in the future as far as credibility goes if he does not deliver. But then I think he realizes that if he does not deliver in a timely way, this may not matter anyway. If he does deliver, I certainly will not let this stand in the way of me considering both him and the company a success.
