Good morning Sonny, It was nice to see fears of the Fed raising interest rates have calmed in a big way. Perhaps today the euphoria will continue. Caught this news this morning on the wires about Intel * Late yesterday, INTEL CORP won Costa Rican Supreme Court approval to operate high-voltage wires at its new plant, a court official said. A lower court in October had blocked Intel from sending a current through the cables after neighbors to the $500 million, 30,000-square-meter plant on the outskirts of San Jose filed a lawsuit opposing the 230,000-volt lines. The neighbors considered the high-voltage lines to be a health threat and a violation of Costa Rica's environmental laws. Intel, which plans to export $700 million worth of Pentium II microprocessors from the factory this year, continued to operate the plant using a less powerful alternate line. (Reuters 10:23 PM ET 04/29/98) * After market close, EASTMAN KODAK and the world's largest semiconductor company, INTEL, announced a joint venture in digital photography and imaging, including a joint consumer marketing campaign. The agreement includes plans to jointly develop products in the area of digital imaging, a broad patent cross-licensing agreement between the two, plans to update Kodak's photofinishing laboratories with Intel-based products, and a collaborative consumer marketing campaign which could reach up to $150 million in spending over three years. Everytime intel gets a little buzz, Tom Kurlac comes along and creates a short circuit. I see that 13 states are going after Microsoft. Have you ever seen so many cry babies at one time?
