To all new comers: WEB SITE: platformsintl.com THIS IS A REPOST FROM YONGZHI AND I FEEL IT WILL BE ADVANTAGOUS TO DISPLAY IT FOR THE NEW INVESTORS .. I HOPE YONGZHI DOESN'T MIND: IMFORMATION FOR NEW COMERS Welcome to PLFM thread ! I) What does PLFM do ? The company is developing Airborne Relay Communications (ARC) system, which is expected to provide telecommunication service to Brazil and other countries in the near future. See platforms-intl.com for more details. II) What are people expecting in the near future ? 1) A demonstration (or "test" as many people call it) is scheduled on May 1st for Brazil officials. The first of the three tests scheduled before May 1st was successfully conducted on last Monday. For more information on the test, please read (notice that the date have been changed from April 20th to May 1st to accommodate Brazil officials) the news release at biz.yahoo.com . 2) An independent auditor (an European Telecom co.) will attend the demonstration and will review and validate the system. The validation process is expected to take about two weeks. However, it is not clear whether the validation process started last Monday or will start on May 1st. 3) News on the demonstration is expected to come out on May 4th or 5th. It is expected that detailed technical information of the system and names of partners involved in the ARC project are to be announced in the news. In particular, plfm's new billion dollar partner (rumored as ADCT - a 4 billion dollar company) is going to be announced. 4) Brazil contract (with the government owned telecommunication giant Telesp) is to be signed pending the validation of the ARC system. The initial contract is expected to worth $30M for hardware (30 planes for 10 sites) and software ordering and system retrofitting. Plfm is expected to share 50% of the revenue (estimated at $160M per year) once ARC system is in operation. II) Is PLFM another BAAT ? Many people compare PLFM's May 1st test with the "famous" BAAT test. I am not familiar with the BAAT test. But I heard enough about it to know its significance can't match that of the PLFM test. PLFM has a contract waiting to be signed pending the test/validation result. The contract has been negotiated for months and all the terms have been agreed upon, including details such as whether the arbitration should be in English or Spanish. I would have agreed that the BAAT test was comparable with the PLFM test if GM (or Ford, etc.) was waiting to sign a major contract with BAAT pending the result of the test. III) Is the company hyping the stock ? It doesn't look that way. If the company wanted to hype the stock, they would have released a series of strategically timed news release before the test. Instead, they went silent. As the result of no hyping, the stock have been moving gradually and steadily during the last month. Right now the company's focus is not on the test itself, rather beyond that. For more details on this, please read post 1345. Well, I wanted to say more, but I am really tired at this point. Teaching four classes today plus preparing tests and talking to students really drained all my energy. With final exam ("TEST") approaching next week, all students suddenly showed up in my office asking questions ---- I started to think they will probably become good day traders in the future. Good luck, yongzhi
