I think they can say this, and come back later and say "we took the problem seriously, and have since discovered more...".

ALso--one needs to remember that "material" is a tem that is open to interpretation. What is considered material to a given compeny with a long term view might well be considered material by shareholders, especially those who bought at what later proved to be the wrong time. Further, Coke or Bristol Myers are huge companies. They could spend an immense amount, by TAVA standards, without making much of a dent in their balance sheet.

The question we should be asking is "will these Fortune 500 companies be spending amounts that are material TO TAVA?". The answer to this question could be YES even if the disclaimers in their annual reports are in fact true.
