Funny how there seems to be support, but the price keeps dropping. I watch the bid/ask lot sizes, granted a poor indicator, and they are often showing strength and the bid moves down on a little sale of less than 500 shares. It doesn't make sense. While I hate to prescribe to conspiracy, it does seem strange.

Is it possible to see a strange pattern of trading that indicates a lot of short selling? Is there really any logical foundation to short this company at these prices?

I've been buying a little today, thinking this will probably bounce, but like you, I have my doubts. Also, I'm no TA guy either, but it does seem obvious that there isn't much support. I don't think there's much reason without news or downgrades for it to run away down from 28, but this could be a slow death over the next week. It does seem like day traders could be buying the dips and taking the strength out of any rally as they try to catch 1/4 points.

I'm not really adding anything, but it does seem a little strange.

Please let me know if anybody knows of any downgrades. Has there ever be talk of Checkpoint being acquired?

Regards,

Mark

PS Just broke through 28.

Management has already responded to Msft rumors, what more do you want them to say ????????

Sure the earnings were bad, shows slowdown in sequential growth,
AT A VERY EARLY STAGE in the company, at 40 it was selling at
10 times sales !!

MSFT seems tied up in their own problems lately, I doubt the CTXS scenario would get replayed here, the bleeding will continue till the stock hits 23/24...
