The big question is the May 18 earnings report. A fellow investor advised me that some of his HP friends are not too optimistic, but I doubt that anyone outside of the executive suite would have enough information to have a clue. A bad report, even a miss by a penny or two, would have hwp back in its 62-65 channel over night; a good report might start the long awaited run up to the 90s.

We've got a lot of long term HP investors on this thread, including a fair number of current and ex HP employees. How about an expectations poll? Just identify if you think they will miss, meet, or beat the .78 target. Of course, theories as to why would be welcomed.

One strategy I'm considering is to sell 1/2 of my position before the report, which would lock in some profits, leave me open for more if they beat, or leave me with some cash to buy back in at a lower price if they miss.

Would appreciate your thoughts,
Frank

Zacks estimate has been reduced to 74c now! I guess there
is a greater chance now that HP will be able to beat it!
I guess the analysts are finally realizing they have to
expect less so they can get more!
