*AV*--I put my picks on your thread for the contest. However, just to confuse the issue, I have chosen a different set of stocks for this thread<GGG>. This way if the legal picks on your thread don't pan out I can always fall back on the two I listed here and accuse you of changing my picks<GGGGG>.

Anyway, for the group here, it looks as if I went to the SYNT well once too often. I am exiting this position at a fractional loss, with commissions. The stock has tightened up and is not showing the same volatility as it was over the previous period. I should have listened to Judy and not gone back for that "just one more trade cycle"<GGG>.
Good call by Judy to back off.

IDTI and PAIR are looking very ripe for me to play with now, along with ATMI. I added a little more ADPT and ASYT to portfolio at today's prices. Nothing to heavy but enough to make it worth my while when they pop back into favor.

I am glad I did jump head over heels into CHKPF but I did do an average down today to better position myself for a recovery. I have no explanation other than a sell off or profit taking in the Internet-Software-etal arena. This is a small position anyway.

On the homefront, the HF, BRYO and ZD did not explode out the chute as expected. They are up a nice chunk (10-20%) from the IPO price. Still time to get some of these on the secondary market without paying much of a premium. I am watching closely for an entry. ZD at 18 (IPO 15.5) wasn't so bad, while HF and BRYO (thought to be barnburners)are at $30.25 ($27 IPO) and $13.50 ($11 IPO) respectively. Not that these aren't good pops but if they are as hot as purported, the best may yet to be seen. ASMLF was slightly sluggish out of the chute also, so you never know.

I only mention this since only a small premium is required for these stocks as compared to the ARMHY or BRCM performance, $40 (IPO $29) and $51.50 (IPO $24), respectively. Soem guys are just dlow starters.

Andrew

BTW-PZ, the picks here are HF and ZD. However, if I have my druthers, I'd druther pick Capstar Communications and NVidia Corp, both May IPOs. I get in at IPO price and ride the current post IPO<GGGG>. Wow, 6 picks for the price of 2. Whatta country<GGGG>.
