...At the traditional GTE unit, we believe that their 5 year $1 billion strategic
agreement with Cisco has been canceled. We believe that going forward the run
rate of this relationship will be a maximum of $50m per year. In conversations
with GTE, they have indicated to us their desire to buy their core switching
equipment from Ascend...

Although I have heard this before and I believe it, I would just like to let you know that this isn't a very good quote in my eyes. The words "we believe" sound to me like they are making an opinionated statement. But, I'll hand that one to you. Thomas, what are your positions in the data networking market (long / shorts?)?? Tks,

JRH

Thomas,

WRONG!!!!! GTE was lost before the AT&T problem. Still not good but there were a number of issues. But, let's end this whining. Tell you what. You short Cisco...put your money where your mouth is. If your so sure Cisco is in trouble short the stock....BETTER YET.

10 bucks.... I say Cisco trades higher than 80 by July.
I'll give you 10 if it trades below 60...

Double if it goes over 90 (for me) or under 50 (for you).

Everything is pre-split. Let's go bud....
