let me summarize this succinctly:

MSFT is not a threat
CSCO is a threat
NETA/TISX always was a threat

The competitive landscape has not changed, at least not yet, nor in any substantive way.

there will always be companies entering a market in most industries. is there only one search engine (yahoo), or one network company (csco), granted there is only one desktop os company (msft). but does the company you invest in have some perceived advantage or disadvantage?

chkpf comments regarding msft were probably the most damaging :

''We don't view them as direct competitors and ... we also view that the comments were taken out of context,'' she said.

''We have a very cooperative and friendly relationship with the Microsoft proxy group and Microsoft in general.''
