Diamondcutter,

It won't be approved unless it's proved both safe and effective.

Regitine is available from Ciba-Geigy as an (expensive) injectable, and phentolamine USP is available by the gram from Sigma-Aldrich, RBI, etc.

It's an easy experiment. I'm quite puzzled that no one here seems to have tried it.

Judgements as to the safety of the proposed self-referential experiment would seem to be well within the sphere of discretion routinely exercised by physicians who prescribe off-label medications.

Blood pressure could be taken before the experiment to ensure that hypotension was not present. Any adverse hypotensive effects from the medication would likely be short-lived.

Well, that's not entirely correct. For even if Vasomax were approved, what would the earnings be? Let's say they undercut the price of the Viagra pill, as was said a long while back by some of the longs. So they charge $5 a pill and they get, what? 20%? That is $1 a pill and they have cost of production and cost of running the company. They do spend money and judging from Vivus, the costs and problems involved in manufacture can be quite surprisingly high. I don't think they'll have an approved drug, but if they did, I don't know that they could make much money.

<<If you are going to make a public accusation that "shills"
are fraudulently pumping up the stock, >>

I did not say shills were fraudulently pumping up the stock.
You are saying that.

<<earnings or cash flow before the main product is launched is meaningless. >>

AS always and as I expect the "shills" refuse even to give
an estimate of expected revenues or earnings,
Same Tired Old Hype. Just a different stock.

<<you should know your credibility is minimized by asking uninformed questions. >>

This is very typical of shills, just attack someone's credibility,
just because I asked a question about expected revenues and earnings.
