Hi Charles! If I understand you correctly RSL bought out Delta Three who had a marketing agreement with VocalTec. Can the binding agreement that Delta Three made with VocalTec be arbitraily cancelled because Delta Three is now owned by RSL? Or, are they going to abandon VocalTec and opt for Ericsson Inc. (ERICY)? Or, if they have a binding agreement with VocalTec, will they use both. Or, will Ericsson provide the hardward only, or also use Internet Telephony Solution for Carriers (ITPC)? The following may shed some light on the subject From the information I was able to gather: "Ericsson Inc. has developed a new IP telephony platform called Internet Telephony Solution for Carriers (IPTC) that raises the standard for IP telephony systems. IPTC offers phone-to-phone, fax-to-fax and PC-to-phone services over a TCP/IP network. It provides a superior operations and management (O&M) facility that moves IP telephony to a true carrier-class communications system." Charles, the loss of Delta Three could be damaging to VocalTec. I would appreciate your opinion and any information you can pick up. Since he is well acquainted with the management of Delta Three, maybe Shlomi Cohen can shed some light on this. One thing that puzzles me is the following news report via Yahoo - VocalTec: "VocalTec Communications Ltd Nasdaq:VOCLF [ Company Profile - Current Price - Message Board ] Thursday April 30, 1998 RSL launches Internet phone service for Europe - Reuters - 6:57 pm Access Power Expands To Canada - PR Newswire - 12:20 pm" It seems strange that the RSL announcement would be included in news about VocalTec if the news was adverse. Kindest regards, Don
