It varies from year to year. But property in the Lake District can sometimes be had cheaply; at most a few hundred thousand should do. Transatlantic fares from the East Coast are negligible. I doubt you have to pay more than $1,000 per round-trip ticket and you can make that much playing easily in a day or so on a few thousand shares of Adaptec :-)
