Actually PPC processors in the 7500 (as well as 8500,9500, 8600, 9600) are on daughtercards, not ZIF cards. "So does that mean I can just lift the lever on the ZIF socket - pop out the processor and install the latest PowerPC chip? Or any other Power PC upgrade?" No quite, the processor doesn't go into the ZIF socket itself. The PPC 750s along with the L2 cache are put on a single ZIF card. The card then fits into the ZIF socket and can be removed by lifting a lever. Here is a picture of what the ZIF card in a G3/266 looks like. macevolution.com Eric
