Paul, rolling out Merced is going to be one very hairy project, and, as the article you posted implies, largely from a software point of view. As an Intel stockholder, I think we can thank our lucky stars for the major barrage of Pentium II and related products that are available, or are becoming available soon, to keep the good times rolling.

MERCED....its going to be very exciting as we see the multitude of tools developed for this new architecture. If it last half as long as the prev one it will be a huge moneymaker for INTC MSFT and thousands of other US companies as developers get cracking.
