RE: housing prices actually surging due to a stk market collapse...that had NEVER occurred to me. I have been in the camp of assuming the opposite. But Cory's right: sloshing equity profits have to go somewhere! I'm reminded of an old friend who taught me...Thieves can hold a gun to your head all day long and not cart off your land!

I'm in an area that is fortunate enough to have experienced about a doubling of housing prices in the last 5 yrs. But 20-30% in 12 months? WHEW!

Oh, well, the For Sale sign is already in the front yard~!~
